Wedding Attire Suggestions & Weather Almananc
Suggested Wedding Attire:
Alexa will be wearing a traditional wedding dress and Matt will be wearing a suit and a bowtie. If you love an excuse to put on a suit, feel free to do so. If you hate suits and ties, leave them at home.
In sum, the suggested attire is anything you feel comfortable in and will keep you warm when the sun goes down. Jeans are fine too. Sweats . . . slightly discouraged at least for the ceremony. Matt encourages you to wear a flannel.
Comfortable DANCING shoes are also suggested because the ground is either dirt, cement pavers, or asphalt depending on where you roam. Matt may not dance much, but Alexa spent much of her life dancing on stages, courts, and in arenas and stadiums, so she tends to think of weddings as opportunities to showcase her everlasting desire to be on So You Think You Can Dance. Look at her cousin Natalie's wedding pictures for evidence of this fact.
*Alexa's brother, Tyler, also has stellar dance party skills. In fact, Tyler's rockstar moves rival Alexa's. Perhaps they will have a dance-off.
As mentioned above, consider bringing a warm layer because when the sun sets, the temperature will likely drop. (If you know Alexa's mom and her desert blood, you know that Cathi will probably be in a fur coat or parka, therefore you will be in good company if you bring your ski jacket as an extra layer).
Weather Almanac:
The weather in Julian for the week of October 28 through November 3 varies. Last year, November 1 was a cool 60 degrees and it got pretty chilly in the middle of the night. In other years between 2009 and 2012, the week brought high temperatures in the mid 70s to mid 80s, with nighttime lows dipping into the mid or low 50s.
Given the fact the reception will continue past sunset, plan for the temperature to drop. There will be some patio heaters and a few fire pits, but please don't get cold and go home early.
****Send vibes for WARM weather**** Forecast says most of the week with be great and Saturday chilly!!!
