Planes, Trains & Automobiles

Traveling to the Wedding?

Planes:

If you live outside of California, you will likely need to fly to California. The closest airport is San Diego (Lindberg Field). It is located in Downtown San Diego.

The next two closest airports are Orange County (John Wayne in Newport Beach/Irvine) and Palm Springs (maybe a good idea if you want to spend some time golfing).

Farther away, but a great option for direct flights from around the country is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Trains:

San Diego also has a train station and Amtrak makes its way to San Diego. I don’t suggest the train as an efficient method of transportation to attend the wedding, but it is an option if you like trains and do not want to fly. Plan accordingly, it may take 2 weeks to get to San Diego from the east coast.

Automobiles:

There is no efficient public transportation to Santa Ysabel or Julian. You will likely need to drive to the area (or hitch a ride with family, friends or maybe a stranger).

Carpooling:

Carpooling to the venue is strongly encouraged, especially if you are staying in the area Saturday night.
